No one get excited, but Justin and I have begun discussions on moving back to Washington. Right now we're discussing where in WA we want to be and the difference in the cost of living. According to the cost of living calculators I've checked out so far, our Ohio dollars are not going to go as far in Washington. We'll need to increase our pay by about 10%.

I wouldn't mind living in that area. I've looked a little bit for jobs online and from the jobs that are posted, I'll have to take a major paycut if I move out there. And that's not gonna work. I'm going to keep looking. It's not as though it'll happen in a few weeks. More like a year or two.

You'll take a pay cut? Washington state's minimum wage is the highest in the country at $7.16 an hour.

I make roughly $30k a year in a low-end white collar job. Full time with benefits.

You are more qualified than I am. I'm sure that one of the local employment agencies could set you up with something that you're suited for.

Also, doesn't your company have a Seattle branch? Or was your posting just for foresters?

I was looking in the Spokane area yesterday. I took a look around the Seattle area after I posted and most of the jobs I would qualify for are between $40 and $60K. That wouldn't suck. Now all I need to do is find an ESOP company. :)
