Back to reality

I spent this week in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park attending a managers meeting for my company. This is where the meeting was held:

The weather could not have been nicer. It is unseasonably warm here in Ohio and we enjoyed temperatures in the 70s all week long. I genuinely didn't want to leave yesterday. The beginning of the week was stressful, but things had calmed down a bit by Thursday and I was feeling happy, relaxed, and excited about some things coming down the pipeline here at work.
'Course, that all changed when I got home and found a notice from Dominic's school saying he wouldn't be able to ride the bus next year and that they would assume I didn't want to enroll him if they didn't receive the enclosed postcard back by March 23. The letter was posted on March 21.
I also have a meeting scheduled with Dominic's teacher, principal, and a few other people from the school to discuss Dominic's behavior. He got in trouble again yesterday for getting water on a classmate's clothes (I understand the classmate was soaked) and for kicking mulch into his classroom while he was in timeout during recess. I may suggest they have him run laps during recess instead of standing on the wall. That way he gets some energy out doing something not as fun as playing. He'd still be punished, but less antsy.
I still need to write a couple papers for school. I only managed to get one assignment done this week. I made some plans to go to an Ethiopian restaurant with some friends tonight, but that might be postponed for another week so I can get caught up on my school work. I also need to find some time to go see "The Hunger Games." I may give up on even attempting to put together my French portfolio. My GPA may regret that decision, though.
