Destiny

Last night, while I was retrieving a message from Ken off my voicemail, Destiny called me. I haven't heard from her in ages and Laura and I were talking about her on Marilee's journal and here she calls me out of the blue. Weird. Turns out I told her story fairly accurately. I forgot the part about her getting pulled over while she had a suspended license for a DUI. She'd also had a few drinks that night so there's another DUI. She's got a court date tomorrow and she might be heading back to jail.

Laura, if you read this, I told her "hi" for you.

After 5 successive moves I finally was able to shake her. After a while you just want to drift apart from people you know. She just wasn't drifting fast enough.

I used to say that exact same thing. She always seems so genuinely pleased to talk to me, though. This last time wasn't bad. She actually seemed to want to tell me about her life and seemed interested in hearing about mine. Usually she just wants to bitch and me to listen.
