1.) I'm taking my Irish history midterm tonight. Justin asked me, "Did you get to the Christian takeover of Ireland yet?" After I stopped looking at him like he was crazy, I told him that was Day One and every day since. Then he helped me run through my flashcards because he's cool like that.

2.) I am titling my College Writing paper, "Joss Whedon: Big Damn Hero." That's all there is to it.

3.) I got a brand new computer at work yesterday. I'm still downloading and installing the non-work-provided programs I like to use such as Firefox, Calibre, and iTunes. For some reason Adblock Plus isn't working. I've downloaded, installed, subscribed, and enabled, but I'm still getting a lot of ads.

4.) My fish died. There was no suicide note, so I'm assuming it was natural causes. I do not suspect foul play.

5.) I'm still working on my multi-chaptered Doctor Who fic. Writing is hard.

6.) This:





I forgot to close one of my HTML tags and had to rewrite this. Dang. I just thought the preview wasn't working. That's hubris!

1. You never did pre-Christian Ireland? Ah, now that's a shame. Did you at least start with Saint Patrick? And good luck on the mid-term!

2. I remember you talking about the Joss Whedon paper a bit but never commented. Not sure if he's a "big damn hero" but you can definitely go with it!

3. I love new computers. :D Adblock Plus never gave me hard time but you could always start from scratch with that add-on and see what happens.

4. We could always call in CSI if you think the fish may have been poisoned....

5. Is this the fic you were talking about a week or so ago? That's the only one I remember you talking about. And, don't worry, I have a major case of writers block and even for me, the one without any class obligations, writing during the week is incredibly hard.

1.) We did a very little on pre-Christian Ireland. Bronze age passage tombs, the Iron age and The Táin, then Saint Patrick. But I'm not sure we can count The Táin as being pre-Christian since it was written down by Christian monks and is filled with Christian symbology.

2.) it's not an argumentative essay if everyone agrees with you. :)

3.) yeah, I may have to redo it. it's driving me crazy. As is my keyboard's consistent failure to capitalize "I."

4.) heheh

5.) Same one. I'd probably be quite far along with it if school quit getting in the way.

6.) Pretty close!

Don't you just love it when someone helps us study. The only problem I have is that my hubby gets tired when he helps me because he thinks Anthropology is Boring (How he can think that I don't know.) I get my mid-term take home test tonight in my Anthro Methods (of course it is all essay)

My paper is on hold till after mid terms it seems that I will be typing it up over spring break (I guess we never get a break)

Sorry about the fish that is one of the reasons my daughter hasn't got one yet because they never leave a note when they go to fish heaven.

I am not having a problem with my writing my fanfics but I do have a problem with my muses not leaving me alone when I am trying to study. They always butt in and demand my attention when I am trying to compare holistic societies and individualistic societies (back off muses I am busy)

Oh, I love Anthropology!

I could see Justin's eyes glazing over as we were going through the flashcards last night. Every once in a while he would glance at the tv, longing written on his face. That's love. :)

I kind of wish I could have gotten a picture from a different angle. That blanket is wrapped around his head, but the rest of him is completely bare! I didn't think he'd appreciate me posting a picture of his underwear-clad behind on the internet. I mean, he wouldn't care now, but when he's older it might be an issue for him.

I do to Anthropology is my maj and I love everyone of my classes (even though they are alot of work)

LOL my husbands eyes do the same thing and he fingers his remote, He is usually good for about 30 min and by the third yawn I let him do his thing again.

Yep he would my 10 year old had her first school dance and I took pics and she made me promise that I wouldn't post them.
(I still haven't yet but I did get prints made by snapfish
