Apr. 20th, 2005 10:30 amI haven't been feeling well. I'm able to stay up a little later now (almost 9:00!), but I find I usually just lay in bed awake until 10:00 or so. I'm too tired to move, but my mind usually races. For some reason last night I was thinking a lot about Abraham Benrubi. I really love that actor, but I almost never see him. Everytime I recognize him I think, "Hey! There's Kubiac!" but I might be the only person who remembers Parker Lewis Can't Lose. And he was so good as Olaf the Troll(god). Does anyone else feel the urge to hug him?
Yeah, anyway...
I stayed home sick yesterday despite the fact that I was feeling better by 9:00 a.m. which means that I watched a lot of daytime t.v. I really despise daytime t.v. There was a commercial of a girl pulling clothes out of her closet, trying them on and deciding she didn't like them, then tossing them out. It turned out to be a Macy's ad with the slogan, "If it's not new it's not in style." Maybe I'm being overly sensitive, but it really bothered me. I look around at my area with it's increasing unemployment, increasing consumer debt, check-advance businesses popping up on virtually every block and wonder if being "in style" should really top the list of our priorities. Yeah, yeah, it's just a commercial. Still, I felt better when the T.J. Maxx commercial came on with its tagline, "Why pay department store prices for name-brand fashions?"
I had a dream last night that I could feel the baby. It's head was over my thigh...that's not right. Justin and I have still not agreed on a boy name, and I'm beginning to think that's what it will be.
