The Harsh Light of Day

My Fellow Americans,

For the past four years every time our president has said something stupid, invaded a country, insulted our allies, or made slurs against homosexuals we have been able to collectively throw up our hands and say, "Hey, we didn't vote him into office." Well, it's over. We've made our decision. We have only ourselves to blame.

I'm not so naive as to think Kerry will take Ohio based on provisional ballots. Early on, I was so proud of Ohio. I was ready to throw my arms around the big, underwear-shaped state. Then the numbers suddenly shifted. Well, that was OK. It was still early. Then I saw the state breakdown by county. Summit, Cuyahoga, and Lorain counties were all very blue. The counties that Columbus and Cincinnati are located in were also blue. Toledo and Dayton's counts weren't yet in. But every other county in this state was dark red. For shame, Ohio. You got screwed the worst and you're begging for more. Well, bend over. I hope you like it rough.

Forget it. I've moved on to being bitter.

And now for something completely different

For five years Justin has known that if he leaves something on the bathroom floor, the cat will pee on it. This is a fact of life. So why the fuck is he so upset that he left his jeans on the bathroom floor and the cat peed on them?

Man, I'm pissy today. I just yelled at someone on my committee. I got someone banned (temporarily) from the message board I help moderate. And I'm ready to snap at anyone who walks by my work space. I almost yelled at Mark for walking so heavy. I need to get down to the warehouse, blast some music, and continue working on those files. If I keep up the pace I've got going, I should be done alphabetizing by the end of the week. And then it's on to typing each file and their corresponding box into a program Mark (different Mark) wrote.
