Stationery Management
Jan. 18th, 2010 03:04 pmSpring semester starts tomorrow and I'm all set with one exception. I need a pencil case. I have a backpack that was given to me by my company and I like it very much, except there's no place to keep pens and pencils. I throw them in the front pocket, but it's a large pocket and I'm tired of fishing around blindly for whichever writing utensil I need at the moment. I figure if I have to buy something that I might as well really like it so I wanted to marry my love of Doctor Who and stationery management with a Doctor Who pencil case. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one. I saw some in the UK, but not only were they ugly, they were sold out. I started searching Etsy for something I would like and I found some promising options, although none Doctor Who themed.
The first one I really liked was this hungry cat case:

The second one is this monster case, which I think is terribly cute, but won't buy because of the tuft of "hair." It's just a little too kiddy.

One thing I noticed about this one is it's just about the right dimensions to make it a TARDIS. Unfortunately the artist won't take special requests. Not even if they don't have to be bigger on the inside.
The one I'll likely buy (if I buy online at all) will be this one:

I like the fabric and the dimensions, and it seems to be well-made.
