annissamazingA whole weekend and not one bit of spam in my inbox. Huzzah!!
So Stauche and Crystal came over this weekend. It was very nice. They left a day earlier than I expected so I feel kind of bad that we didn't do much of anything on Saturday. I did get to expose them to their first taste of Thai food. Crystal fell in love, Stauche is going to be a little harder to convince. Usually the coup de grace is the fried pastry-wrapped banana slices served with coconut ice cream and topped with honey and sesame seeds. But, oh no, Stauche doesn't like bananas. His loss, because they're delicious! Then we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean. It was fun. Not great, but fun. As always, Orlando Bloom was delicious to watch. I couldn't seem to get past Johnny Depp's eye makeup. "Hello, I'm a pirate. Excuse me while I touch up my eyeliner." He was fun to watch, but I noticed he was using the same mannerisms that he used in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Even so, his performance was very good. I'll probably rent it or buy it when it comes out on DVD.
I bought some new stuff for my hair so right now it's very big. So I guess I'm prepared when big hair comes back, and you know it will.

A lot of pirates did blacken around their eyes for intimidation, though not nearly so stylishly as Mr. Depp. But... yeah. On your other post where you asked what situation to put him in, I didn't know you were talking Photoshop.
My sitch suggestion: marooned on an island for three weeks with one of the freaks you went to high school with. (I can send you a photo if it will help make this happen.)
Interesting about the comparison to F&L. It's years since I've seen it, I'll have to go watch it again to see if I agree.
