I went to Borders yesterday because Justin wanted to find another copy of a Robert Jordan book Sabby had ruined. I took a look around the music section and noticed that They Might Be Giants has another album out. "No." I didn't buy it. I realize now that the age of TMBG is over for me. I no longer consider myself a "fan."
I was tempted by the Royksopp and Basement Jaxx CDs I saw, though.

Date: 2004-03-16 03:18 am (UTC)I know Mink Car is really unpopular among many fans, but I liked it. I listen to it as the John's attempt at making a "modern rock" record, and as much as I should hate the idea, I end up enjoying the record all the same. (That being said, I think Ween does the "skewed version of modern rock" much better, probably because they like the stuff. I get the impression the Johns' prefer listening to 50's and 60's pop rather than anything new).
