May. 15th, 2012 07:56 amI've fallen into my summer habits far more easily this year than the past three.
Spring semester already feels like a lifetime ago. I've been filling my time hanging out with Dominic, cleaning the house, and playing massive amounts of SSX.
Seriously, that trailer nearly moves me to tears. This game makes me feel things. I've been thoroughly enjoying kicking random strangers' butts all over the mountains.
I also bought a membership to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History and we've been spending quite a bit of time up there. I recently discovered that the museum has a lower level (I honestly don't even know how I missed that before). Dominic discovered a snake:

He wasn't impressed. He's the orange blur running away.
Work has been insanely busy these past few weeks and I've been more stressed than normal. I've been taking advantage of my shiny new audible.com account and have listened to a few books while I do some of my more brainless jobs. The latest book I've been listening to is "The Magicians" by Lev Grossman. It's like The Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter had a baby and that baby grew up, went to college, became a disaffected millennial, and then found the Wood between the Worlds after it had been paved over by some Italians. I've listened to 14 hours of book so far and I haven't quite figured out the plot, but I've thoroughly enjoyed it. The only thing that's pinged me was when the author described a man speaking in "an exaggerated Oregonian accent." Maybe it's because I speak with the exact same accent as an Oregonian, but I can't even begin to imagine what this sounds like. I don't know how to exaggerate my accent. Any time I try, I end up sounding like someone from a completely different region of the U.S.
But I digress. Audible.com. Awesome.
