Some days just weren't made for waking up.

I am really, truly exhausted. At least, that's what my body's trying to tell me.
I had a dream that I was in a park with some friends, mourning the death of a woman we all knew, but something didn't seem right. After a while I realized that the problem was that in real life the woman was still alive and her husband, the man who was sitting across from me, was actually dead. So I started panicking and trying to wake up because I knew it was a dream. I was yelling and pinching myself and I felt all of it, but couldn't wake up.
Eventually, I woke up at a friend's house. A bunch of us were sleeping on the floor. I was so relieved to be awake. Then I got into an argument with the friend's sister, but I can't remember what it was about.
Then I woke up in my bed and found out I'd slept through my alarm and had to leave for work in 10 minutes.
I had dream within a dream about not wanting to get up while my alarm played in the background. I should have called off work today. I'm on Cup of Tea #2. I expect there will be quite a bit more in my future.

Date: 2011-09-08 06:13 pm (UTC)Sorry for the unpleasant dreams. The worst I dreamed was that the cat had thrown up on the bed and that was why she was yelling so much. She hadn't. She just yells a lot.

Date: 2011-09-08 07:35 pm (UTC)Sorry enough of me being flippant... I really know what you mean, stupid dreams can really screw up your day. I hope they got better and you DID get more tea!

Date: 2011-09-09 11:58 am (UTC)I did go out and buy some black tea at lunch. With black currant flavors. I don't normally like fruity tea, but this stuff is pretty tasty.
I really enjoy dream analysis and I can usually tell which dreams are actually acting as a buffer. I've had two particularly bizarre dreams and when I did the analysis, it was creepy how spot-on it was with my then-current anxieties.

Date: 2011-09-09 11:59 am (UTC)I really do need more sleep, but I have a French test on Wednesday, and papers due on both Thursday and Friday. It's gonna be a tough week. :/
After that, though, it should calm down until midterms.

Date: 2011-09-09 12:00 pm (UTC)My day wasn't too bad. I had class last night, but we talked about the first 15 years of Henry VIII's reign, and that stuff's fascinating. Thanks. :)
