Day 14 - Favorite Doctor Moment



I think that most fans of Doctor Who have a "favorite Doctor." There may even be debate among fans over which one is "best." It's easy to forget that all Doctors are the same character and I like when we're reminded of this fact. So my favorite Doctor moment is this scene from "The Eleventh Hour" in which the Doctor sums himself up.

There's actually a lot going on here. People new to Doctor Who are learning who the Doctor is and what he's about. Established viewers are watching the Eleventh Doctor shed the pinstripes and don the bow tie. It's an important passing of the torch.

The first time I saw it, I choked up when I saw the Tenth Doctor's face in the lineup of previous incarnations; I don't think I was quite ready to let him go. This montage was a good way to remind the audience that they're all the same guy. They're all the Doctor. He's just got a new face. And a bow tie.

That was a great scene. I havent' seen a lot of the newer Whos, but I did get to see this one.

Oh I just loved that part I watched it two or three times on my DVR I kept rewinding and rewatching. Excellant choice

I agree that that's a lovely moment. I also like the "one thing you never put in a trap" speech.

I found it impossible to choose just one moment, but I think this is a good one. You're right about the passing of the torch - and you weren't the only one who wibbled at the appearance of Ten amongst the fallen :(
