Day 5 - Favorite Guest Star



Anthony Stewart Head is the guest star I’ve gotten the most excited about. There are characters played by guest stars that I like quite a bit more than Mr. Finch (Harriet Jones, I‘m looking at you), but this is about my favorite guest star, meaning actor, and Mr. Head takes that spot, no contest.

It’s no secret that I’m a huge Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan, so having an actor from that series cross over into my other favorite tv show was thrilling for me. It was interesting to watch him play a character so completely different from Mr. Giles. Mr. Giles is so fatherly and kind while Mr. Finch is kind of greasy and, you know, evil.

Oh that is an excellent choice. He did great in that part and I just enjoyed watching him. I also love the fact that he narrates Doctor Who confidential as well. His voice is one of those that I could listen to often.

Agree on everything you said. Going from Giles to Mr Finch was so creepy and spine-chilling that I did a double-take. I think I mentioned this to someone else (maybe you?) but the pool scene was amazing, particularly after watching BBC's Sherlock and seeing the awesome similarities. Ten going head-to-head with Finch was brilliant.

Plus, in that ep we get the return of Sarah Jane Smith and K9! (Why is that exciting for a new fan, again?)
