(Not a) School Update
Jan. 12th, 2011 07:53 amI was hoping to be able to give a school update today about how I think this semester will be, but I won't really be able to do that because I haven't had a History class yet. It was canceled due to the lake effect snow storm we've been slammed with since about 1:00 yesterday afternoon. It took me 45 minutes to get to Kent (20 is normal) and an hour and a half to get home. I was notified class was canceled while I was sitting in the classroom 15 minutes before it was scheduled to start.
Here's a photo I took from the third floor of the Bowman Building when I got to school yesterday.

Since I can't really talk about school, here's a neat YouTube video with the Doctor Who theme done in Mario Paint. Enjoy!

Date: 2011-01-12 01:30 pm (UTC)We're getting some snow as well, supposedly 3-6 inches over the course of the day (in my area), and more further south of me. Unfortunately, 3-6 inches is nothing (I am rather excited for it though), and the University itself would only close if we got about 20" in a day. That actually happened once a few years ago, the first in about 30 years, and boy was that exciting. Valentine's Day Storm of 2007. Good times.
Ok, right, work. Enjoy the snow!

Date: 2011-01-12 03:37 pm (UTC)My high school never closed for snow. Granted, we didn't get much snow in the Valley, but still. I felt like they were trying to go for some kind of record.
