Went to lunch today with K.J. and Elyse. Elyse was looking for something vegetarian and the three of us took the opportunity to go to Chrissie Hynde's restaurant, VegiTerranean. We can never convince our regular lunch party to go there since there are two meat-and-potatoes guys who simply refuse to eat a vegetarian meal. It is without a doubt the chicest restaurant I've been to. It seems way out of character for downtown Akron. It's all cement and glass and neon lights embedded in the bar. The food was excellent. Way better than I was expecting and I had high expectations. Unfortunately, I did not have a camera. So I borrowed K.J.'s treo. I love having my treo with me for quick snapshots, but I'm always disappointed by the quality of the photos.

Caprese-style pizza with the most amazing mixed green salad I've ever had.

Yum!! That looks really amazing. I think I'm going to make my husband suffer through some new food groups. He's a "meat & potatos" guy too.. if it doesn't involve meat, it isn't a meal to him. There are some great arabian, arminian, russian restaurants in our area that I've been dying to try (which serve minimal meat, if any).. You have just inspired me to go to one of them this weekend... so thanks! :o)
