For those of you reading "A Series of Unfortunate Events," "Lemony Snicket: The Unauthorized Autobiography" is required reading. Try it just before book 10.

I finally understood the correlation between unicorns and virgins last night. It hit me like a lightning bolt. Strangely, it was brought on by an episode of MXC.

I've been thinking a lot about the phone conversation that Marilee and I had earlier this week. For some reason, I'm understanding many things a lot better now. I remember why I surrounded myself with people far more intelligent and talented than me. I would soak it up. I hope the relationships I have/had with those people benefits/ed them as much as they benefit/ed me.

And now for a touch of ego...
I realize I'm not so boring. My friends list here on LiveJournal is filled with very interesting people. All of them interesting in different ways. I was comparing myself to all of you as a whole instead of on an individual basis. No one could live up to all of you combined.

And on a completely different note:
Most of us in the office worked frantically (and until late into the night) all this week to complete the FP&L report. Yesterday at about 4:00, I bound the last copy and handed it to Elyse to package and send to Florida. There was much hand-shaking. Here's hoping we get Phase 2!

Apparently, I have an admirer. The woman Diane hired to take over Michelle's job while Michelle was on maternity leave (I could make a very long post on how messed up that was), started following me around a few weeks ago. I've been told that she stares at me when I'm not paying attention. Several times this week while having conversations with other people, I turned around and saw her staring at us. When I noticed her, she turned around and walked away. Today she came in wearing an outfit very, very similar to one of mine. I was talking to Kevin just a minute ago when this woman walked by. Kevin saw her and said, "Is she dressing like you now?" Then walked off laughing loudly.

I sent Justin to work with a cheesecake last week because he had eaten his boss's sausages out of the freezer. Now his co-workers want to know how much I would charge them to make more. Nice compliment. :)

I'm thinking $15.

Edit: I just took a look at the Cheesecake Factory's website and they're selling 10" cheesecakes for $54.95. Maybe I should charge $30. Mine are better. :)
