Jan. 13th, 2005 10:50 amIf I had been granted my vacation request for this week, I would have used that time to catch up on the housework I have been putting off for the past month and a half. The list stands as such:
Take out the trash (including the dirty litter piling up in the shower stall that I use as a broom closet)
Mop floors
Clean kitchen
Clean bathtub and shower
Sort laundry
Vacuum
Shampoo carpets
Do laundry
The laundry has piled up at least four feet high at the foot of my bed. It's going to take not only serious time to do it, but also serious cash.
So, naturally, I get a note on my door last night saying that the leasing office will be entering my apartment on Friday to do phase 2 of the fumigation for pharoah ants. They will, no doubt, be inspecting the apartment while they're there. If I'd gotten my vacation request, this would all be done, but since I didn't get my vacation it will need to be done tonight after work. I also need to replace the battery in the smoke detector before they come in. :(
The "smoke detector" is actually a heat detector that goes off every time I turn on the oven or a burner on the stove.
Sabby helped out this morning by vomiting and pooping on the carpet. Thanks, Sabby.
