I made a very poor showing in my last Worth contest. It's very disappointing because I put a lot of work into it. Several layers, messing with shadows, color saturation, noise addition. The worst part is I got zero critiques. Lots of "haha, that's funny" but no advice on how to make it better. I know it wasn't great and that there were better pictures in the contest, but how am I supposed to improve if I get no critiques?

So I'm working on another one now, but I'm having a hard time finding source pictures. Ed just called and said he was going to maybe be out all day so I guess I'll have some time to work on it. But I've got a lot of other stuff to do, too.

I got a hold of someone at the doctor's office today that could help me. She looked up my account and said I owed $20. I was like, "That's a huge relief because the bill says $120." So she says that they billed me on the 19th and my insurance paid out on the 23. But the numbers still don't add up. They said my insurance paid $91 out of $120 and that they (my doctor) just rounded up to make it even, but the statement they (my insurance) sent me says they paid $50.40 of $72. Which leaves me going "Whatever. You said $20, you're getting $20." The woman at my doctor's office was very nice, though, and said that it was nice to talk to somebody who wasn't mad for once.
