Oven update

I called HHGregg to complain about them not installing my oven. They said that my gas line was an unusual size and they don't carry an adapter to fit it. They suggested I hire a plumber to switch my gas line. I made an appointment with a plumber to come look at it and hook it up. No price was quoted.
I left work early to meet the plumber at my house on Friday. He looked at the flex line and at my gas line, then told me that he had to charge me $200 to install the oven and also he didn't have the part. Turns out my gas line is a perfectly normal size. He told me the sizes I needed and then he left. I called around town until I found a hardware store that carried the part I needed, picked it up ($3, by the way), scheduled HHGregg to come back out and finish installing the oven. Then found out that the part didn't fit.
Here's the best part: My gas line is a very common 3/4". The flex line that HHGregg provided is a very uncommon 11/16". I went back to the hardware store, returned the flare adapter, and bought a new flex line. HHGregg came back, installed it, then I made lunch. It cost me $23 (for the flex line) and a lot of aggravation.
