I think Dominic is starting to dislike vegetables. He used to love brussels sprouts and asparagus, but he's been turning his nose up at them lately. Even going so far as to throw them off his high chair. Or maybe he just isn't that hungry... He's never liked salad. On Tuesday I fixed him a bowl of salad, asparagus, and pork chop with the meat cut into tiny pieces because I'm still paranoid about him choking on it. He ignored the asparagus that he normally loves and started diggin in his bowl for the pork. He would pick up a leaf of lettuce and throw it over his shoulder, then eat the meat that was under it. I hate picking food up off the floor. He also doesn't seem too keen on mushrooms, radishes, or cucumbers, but he'll eat every shred of cheese out of a salad.

Dominic seems to have a love/hate relationship with his magnadoodle. I picked it up as a quiet church activity for him. He loves it so much and manages to find it even in the most obscure hiding places. But when he gets his hand on it, he eventually starts fussing, crying, then screaming his fool head off. I think it may be the pen tether is too short for his liking so when he pulls it the magnadoodle moves and he doesn't like that. He usually ends up whipping it across the room at which point it gets taken away and the gate to the kitchen gets put up so he can't play in there anymore (putting that gate up is the fastest way to piss him off).

Yesterday I finally found Guitar Hero 2 for the 360. I stayed up way too late last night playing it, but I did manage to unlock "Dead!" and play it a few times before I had to go to sleep.

completely natural as they age. (learned quite a lot while living with my sister for two years & caring for her [then] five children) Maybe try a cheese sauce on the asparagus?

enzymes found in most meats and cheeses are far more addictive than what you get with a vegetable.. Offer a crack addict a peice of broccoli or some crack, he'll probably throw the broccoli on the floor too..

Casein is found in most dairy products.. Casein peptides react with opiate receptors in the brain.. "MPC and casein are technologically sophisticated ingredients produced by separating and concentrating various milk components. They are tailored to meet manufacturers' requirements to select the particular combination of components that best perform the function they need or desire in their products idfa.org, July 29."

Products containing casein: "Imitation sausages, soups, stews, high-protein beverage powders, fortified cereals, infant formula, nutrition bars, bakery glazes, coffee whiteners, formulated meats, salad dressing, sauces, and whipped toppings all may contain casein or caseinates. Casein and caseinates are used as extenders, tenderizers, nutritional fortifers, and texturizers, therefore can be found in products other than foods. For instance, Trident For Kids and Trident Advantage contain Recaldent which contains a milk-casein derivative. Other examples of products containing casein include cosmetics, adhesives, pharmaceutical, nutritional, and personal care products."

Many studies have shown some evidence that it can be classified as a contributing cause to a number of psychological diseases, as well as obesity in people, and cancer in animals.

I was raised a lacto vegetarian, but when I decided to give up dairy in college, I had some pretty awful withdrawal symptoms from cutting out the cheese.. I wish my mother had raised me dairy free too.. I still eat the cheese today.. but upon reading what I just typed, I am unimpressed with my poor will power.

In any event I absolutely should cut out cheese with rennet.. it's in 99.9% of all cheese products, and it's taken from cows after they are slaughtered. w00f.
