Got back from the doctor's about an hour ago. He took a look and said it didn't look like something to be concerned about then he froze it off with liquid nitrogen. It hurts. So I'm supposed to make an appointment for him to look over all my moles every year. It's something I should've started doing about 10 years ago.

They were supposed to do that to the mole on my eyelid today. It's been postponed until tomorrow. I'm really not looking forward to it.

Have you had one removed before? It's not so bad. Usually they inject the area with a local anaesthetic and then shave the mole away and cauterize the wound. You won't feel a thing. If there's a chance it's cancer, they'll cut out more skin just to be sure they got the whole thing. Granted, I've never had one done on my eyelid before, but I can't imagine it'd be a whole lot different than the ones I've had done in the past. My doctor froze the one on my head because he said it was more like a wart growth than a mole. I disagree with him because I've had the thing for as long as I can remember. Warts don't last that long. Regardless, the effect is the same. It'll scab over and fall off in about two weeks.

That's good. I had a suspicious one on my back, but the doctor said it wasn't a problem. . .I found that the anaesthetic hurt way more than I expected, but the actual removal didn't hurt at all.
