annissamazingAbout a month ago Elyse mentioned that HR was going to get everyone t-shirts for the big move. We talked about styles and I threw out the idea of baseball t's. Elyse thought it was a great idea. I also mentioned that we should get women's styles for the women in the office. We've never gotten women's styles so we always end up with huge, boxy t-shirts that don't look good on us. We all sent Elyse our sizes and she ordered the shirts. They came in today. They're gray with navy blue sleeves. They look really sharp.
Here's the hitch.
All the women's styles are actually junior sizes and don't fit anyone who's larger than a B-cup. I tried mine on and my D-cups made it look like I'd stuffed two small children down the front of my shirt. The lettering on the left breast was in my armpit. Cathy had ordered a medium. She tried hers on and it was most definitely too small. But she looked kinda sexy in it, too. She wanted a roomier shirt so I gave her my extra-large which was a little large on her, but it's 100% cotton and when she washes it it'll fit perfectly. When we were all done switching around shirts so people could have shirts that fit, Marcy and I were the only ones left who needed a re-order. Alane called the printer and they said they'd have to charge her $30 for the set up fee plus $30 for each shirt. She wouldn't do that (don't blame her), so she told Marcy and me that we could order anything under $30 off of www.aramark.com. Their clothes suck, though. I probably won't get anything. It was very nice of them to offer, though. I admit, I'm disappointed. It was the first time I'd had a say in the company shirt design and I really like how they came out.
Elyse feels really bad that the shirts didn't fit and she's taking it really hard. It wasn't her fault. Everyone loves the style. My only suggestion for next time was asking for a sizing chart so we know we're getting the right sizes.
