Supreme Court of *what*, because this ain't America, is the question you and I might ask...
I also understand that the excuse is that he missed a month of work because he was ill with pancreatitis and also had an operation for his gall bladder, so there's the suggestion his health is too sketchy for the stress of his curent job.
Since another rumor is that Bush is apparently strongly thinking of nominating Alberto Gonzales, author of those poisonous "no, the Geneva Convention doesn't apply to whatever WE do" memos that make it okay to do all kinds of amusing things to detainees in Iaq and Afghanistan and Gitmo. (
Now, I think it's possible that it's a bait and switch, where he can't get Alberto in, so sorry, how about somebody just slightly less outrageous, who wouldn't have made it in at all on his own, but looks good after somebody who utterly stinks.
As someone else said, "that poisonous little toad in the White House"...
