Dilemma

Yellowcard is going to play at OSU in Columbus on Sunday, October 31.

Why I want to go:
Right now, Yellowcard is one of my favorite bands (make comments if you like, it's ok)
A concert on Halloween would probably be lots of fun
I'm dying to go to a concert

Why I don't want to go:
Columbus is over two hours away
I have to work the next day
I don't know my way around Columbus or OSU
I don't have anyone to go with
I hear the area is pretty dangerous

Should I go or should I wait to see if they make it back around to Cleveland? They were here in April, but I was just getting into them back then.

I don't think I've ever heard Yellowcard. So as long as they're not a boy band I will not mock you.

I had two of their songs played at my wedding, Empty Apartment and Ocean Avenue.

Arrange to take the next day off work, maybe do some band website or lj fan searches on their name to see if there's a fan of the band nearby in the area you could go with (ever so much more fun) and if not, drag the SO with you.
Shoot, he might decide he likes them too...

I considered taking a vacation day, but my boss said "no." My company's offices are moving next month and we're trying to get everything boxed up for the move. I'm heading up the most time-consuming and difficult task of going through all the archived files and miscellaneous file cabinets throughout the office, throwing out the files we no longer need, and sorting the ones we keep into alphabetical order, then indexing them, and boxing them up. Why do I have to do it? Nobody else knows what to keep and what not to keep. Just an extra Annissa job security advantage to having worked for every department in the company.

I would take Justin in a heartbeat, but he's very anti-social. I took him to an SR-71 show at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a couple years ago and he stood at the back of the room complaining about how much his feet hurt. He's a totally cool and fun guy...except in social situations. He doesn't mind Yellowcard, but I kind of overplay them around him and now he doesn't like them as much. He says he feels bad for the guy who has to write violin parts for every song. :) The rest of my friends who would consider going have recently had children or work in the same office that I work in.

I know...excuses excuses. :)
