1. Write to the prof in advance 2. Show up for the first day of class and get on on the hand-written wait list 3. Either the teacher gets them to add 3 more student slots or the teacher hands out add codes to the first people on the list to take slots that open up when some people don't show up for the first day 4. Keep watching the online reg system anyway in case someone drops the class digitally and leaves a free slot.
