annissamazingJustin and I had Elyse and Kevin over on Friday night. It was a lot of fun. We continued trying to teach Elyse how to play Euchre. I think she's got it, but she doesn't. Again, I think she's just not interested and pretends not to understand so she doesn't have to play. We ended up playing a drinking game involving Simpsons Trivia. Girls against Boys. Elyse and Kevin were the drinkers. I offered to take over, but they didn't think that drinking shots of caffeine free diet coke was appropriate for a drinking game.
Justin and I took Tena out for our weekly lunch on Sunday. Except my car wouldn't start so we ended up taking it to the shop which made us late for our date with Tena. So she'd left two messages on our voicemail before we got to her house. On our way to the restaurant I started feeling pretty darn sick. So after lunch we stopped by Discount Drug Mart to pick up some cold remedies. I got all stocked up with Dayquil, Nyquil, and generic Chloriseptic. Then Justin found Applets & Cotlets. I was thrilled. I love those things and I've never seen them outside the state of Washington. So I picked up two boxes. They were under $4/box. That's pretty darn cheap for Applets & Cotlets. I think they're kind of old, though. The outsides are a little hard and they're supposed to be very soft.
I'm at work now. My cold is worse. I went to complain to Ed, but I walked in saying, "I just want to tell you..." I stopped there. I was going to say, "I just want to tell you that the only reason I'm here is because I won't get paid if I don't get my timesheet in." I'm kind of bitter about this new rule. I stopped because I noticed his eyelid was red and swollen nearly shut. So I finished the sentence, "That you have an eye infection. Yikes! What happened?" He doesn't know. His eye looks worse than mine did the day Dracula: the Musical opened and I had hit myself in the eye with the "shoes from hell".
Sabby's legs appear to be getting worse. Last night he bounced off the side of the bed while attempting to jump onto it. Poor thing. He almost never sits normally anymore. He tends to sit right on his butt with his back legs splayed in either direction. He's not bad enough that he's walking on the backs of his legs yet. When he gets there, I'll worry.
