I got most of my stuff unpacked so I had all the people who helped me move over for a nice dinner on Saturday night. I started cooking on Thursday. I made cheesecake on Friday night and spent *all day* Saturday cooking the main course. Crudites and dip, crescent rolls, mashed potatoes, green beans with toasted almond and crumb topping, a roasted stuffed pork loin roast, and cheesecake with strawberry topping for dessert. Everything was made from scratch. After dinner we played Trivial Pursuit and watched a couple episodes of Most Extreme Elimination Challenge. It was a really nice time. It's also the first time since I left Clarkston that I've hosted a party. I've missed doing that.

The cheesecake was such a big hit that I'm making another one tonight to bring in for tomorrow's "urban forestry summit." And I'm not sharing with accounting! :D
