annissamazingDay 5 - A show you hate
I was excited this morning because I'd planned to write about my favorite episode of my favorite tv show, but it turns out I messed up in my mapping and cut out Day 5. I just noticed it. So instead I get to talk about a show I hate, which is almost as fun.
I hate reality tv. To play off of something I said in yesterday's entry, I hate watching people I can't relate to doing boring things in stupid ways. But I don't watch reality tv and I'd rather talk about something I've actually seen.
A show that I hate? That would be Charmed. It started out all right. I liked the premise of three normal women living normal lives while fulfilling their destiny to become the most powerful good witches in history and save the lives of innocent people. Could be fun, and at first, it was. But the show quickly became unnecessarily melodramatic. The mythology was a mess, the characters unlikeable, and the costuming laughable. Most problems in the show could be solved by reciting horrible rhyming couplets. It wasn't fun and I couldn't care about what was going on. Worst of all, I found that I was embarrassed for the actors. That's when I gave up.
