I guess they kind of look alike...

Yesterday, my friends Matt and Martha watched Dominic for me while I went to class. Matt was wearing a t-shirt with a stylized C-3PO on the front and R2-D2 on the back. When I got home, Matt said, "I have to show you something. Dominic, who is this?" and showed Dominic the back of his shirt.

Dominic, without hesitation, said "A Dalek!"

My first reaction was "WIN!"

My second reaction was, "Wait... my kid doesn't know who R2-D2 is... fail."

I think Dominic is still a bit too young for Star Wars, so this doesn't bother me too much, but he may have to see it soon. Just to ease my geeky little mind.

When my nephew (Willie's oldest) was 3, Star Wars was his all time favorite. I remember we watched him while they went out on a date night, and they brought the DVD for Star Wars original first one. He practically had half of the lines memorized. He just wanted to watch it.

Although, Dax will be 2 this summer, and I can't imagine showing him Star Wars anytime in the near future!

One of Jason's memories of being with his dad was watching the original Star Wars in the movie theater. He was 4. He claims he sat attentively through the entire movie. It kindled his love for Science Fiction.

Make it a movie night with pop corn, blankets and snuggling. I'm sure he'll love it.
