Apr. 18th, 2011 08:11 pmI'm coming into the homestretch in school. I've got my major paper due on Thursday (though I might take advantage of an extension and turn it in next Tuesday) and then finals the first week of May.
I registered for fall classes today. My options for evening classes are pathetic. I need to write an email to the head of the History department and find out why he's getting rid of all evening courses. This does not bode well for my future university attendance. I managed to enroll in Beginner's French I and History of the British Isles. An interesting mix, if I do say so myself. I'm required to start a foreign language this fall, and French was my only option. I mean, I took French in high school and liked it, so it's fine, but I was really hoping for Russian or American Sign Language.
I was still having some minor pain (I scored it a 4 out of 10 on the pain scale) in my head. I noticed that it hurt worse when I turned my head. This weekend I was beginning to think that chiropractic wasn't working at all and considered calling my GP to have a scan or something. It's not natural to have this much chronic pain. But I went to my chiropractic appointment, and he said it was likely some muscle pain. He did some adjustments (including popping a rib back in place [that hurt!]) and the pain instantly lessened. He said to give it ten minutes. Sure enough, halfway to school, the headache was gone. He recommended a deep tissue massage and set one up for me on Wednesday. Fully covered by insurance, thankfully. I ranted the whole time I was there that if they can't cough up enough dough to cover my pain medication, they can damn well pay for a massage, the bastards.
Ok, enough procrastination! Back to Irish History!
