My head hurts and I've got that overall feeling of blahness that usually accompanies a moderate cold. So if Dominic asks me "Why?" one more time, I'm pretty sure my head will explode and I am *not* going to clean up that mess.
On the other hand, his curiosity and my far too detailed explanations lead to some entertaining consequences. He asks why the sun goes down and I explain how the earth is a sphere and how we rotate around the sun. He says (and does a hilariously appropriate hand gesture), "We spinning?" Early Saturday and Sunday mornings I am now woken up by him yelling from his bed, "Mommy! The sun is up!" And after breakfast he turns to me and asks, wiggling his fingers up and down, "The dark is going down?"
I love listening to him talk. I love knowing what's going on in his mind.
"I don't want dinner. My stomach hurts. I need ice cream."
"*sigh* I tired. I can't clean up my toys. I too tired to go to bed."
He acts out whole scenes from Thomas the Tank Engine with his toy trains. As James, "Why you take my tender?" As Percy, "Because I did!" As James, "Nooo!"
He listens to what's on the t.v. and sometimes reacts. When Sir Mix-a-Lot sang, "I like big butts!" he turned to me and said, "I like little butts."
He's a little parrot and he loves to sing.
"Everybody dance now!"
