(no subject)

I wanted to take Dominic to the playground over in the Falls so bad on Saturday! But he slept until after 4:00, then I needed to make dinner. It was after 7 before we had the time and even though I should have been getting him bathed and ready for bed, I took him to the park instead. The park was deserted. It's so much more fun when there are other kids around. So when Dominic started losing interest in the playground equipment, I packed him back up in the car to take him home. It was past his bedtime anyway. As I was driving home I noticed Bethany walking through a parking lot to her car. Bethany is the daughter of Dominic's old sitter, Marsha. I've been trying to contact Marsha for months to see how chemo is working, but no one ever answers. So I pulled into the parking lot and right up to Bethany's car. Marsha's doing great! It was so nice to hear. Bethany must've mentioned our meeting to her mom because Marsha called me yesterday and I got to hear about what she's going through. She'd like me to bring Dominic over to visit. I'd do it in a heartbeat, but we've got a persistent cold running through our household right now and if Marsha catches it, it'll put her in the hospital. So we're going to wait until we're all healthy and none of us have sick co-workers or day-care buddies. I don't want to take any chances getting Marsha sick. I can't wait to see her, though!
