Dec. 20th, 2005 08:50 amDominic was sick and fussy all day yesterday. Marsha (my sitter) seemed a little flustered when I picked him up. I thought it was odd that he was in his bunting (a beautiful white bunting Stacey sent from Ireland), but I thought maybe she took him outside. Nope. He pooped through both outfits I sent with him. Poor Marsha. She said one of the boys she watches kept asking, "What's wrong with Dommy?" Heh...Dommy. I guess we know what they'll call him on the playground now.
Unfortunately, he's not much better today. I think Dominic and I are both coming down with a cold Justin has had for days. Poor Dominic's eyes were so crusty he could barely open them. His tear ducts have been plugged since birth. He's supposed to outgrow it, but he might need to have them opened for him.
Justin's mother watches him on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but she called off today because she was "too sick to watch him." I called Marsha to see if she could take him. She said she could take him, but she had a doctor's appointment this afternoon. So he's over there now and he's going to go to the doctor's with her. I hated doing that to her and I feel like I've imposed on her terribly. But what else can I do? The only other person who can watch him works for the Post Office and can't watch him until the Christmas rush is over. I hate this child care thing.
