I bought my first appliances on Saturday! I have a new refrigerator, a new washer, and a new dryer. I'm really tempted to not do any laundry before we move and just wash it at the house after the washer and dryer delivered. As a matter of fact, I think that's what I'll do. I'm sick of the washers and dryers in my apartment building. It costs a dollar to wash and a dollar to dry, sometimes the machines don't work (after they've taken your money), they're small-capacity washers, and they don't do a good job. And the dryers stop if someone opens them. Usually, the idiots who open the dryers don't start them again, so you're out another buck.

We've started moving in to the house very slowly. We've got most of our books over there now. Each day, we're taking another load over. I'm hoping to move in completely this weekend. The appliances are being delivered on Saturday and I'm not comfortable leaving the house empty.

One of the neat things about moving is finding old stuff. Like my first paycheck from FDC (in which I made about $250 for over 40 hours of work), greeting cards from yther and Dr. Worm (Kate), pictures from high school and shortly after, gag gifts from old places of employment, and the notebook that Lisa, Christopher, and I started on our trip to Ohio. Lisa's contributions were well-written and fun to read. I found Christopher just as annoying now as I did then. My own part was very boring and I can see why we stopped writing after it.
