44 of 79 in my current worth contest. That's so disappointing. But after looking at the other entries, I guess my picture is placed exactly where it ought to be. But hopefully I'll do better next time.

Some days I wish I could hide my feelings better. I've always been a "wear my heart on my sleeve" kind of girl. So it was no surprise that someone asked me why I was upset. I really wish I hadn't told her. It's humiliating. To have someone you used to admire and aspire to be like turn out so badly...well, I can't describe it. My own father...

I made it into the Summer 2003 issue of "Owners at Work" published by the Ohio Employee Ownership Center. There's a picture of Pam and me posing with our certificates and the statuette with our company valuator and Bill McIntyre from the OEOC (I designed some brochures and a poster and won a major award for it). I think I look pretty bad in it, but my co-workers insist it's a good picture. Looks like I really ought to get back on that diet...

ESOPs are a lot like communism. I only hope that our ESOP has a better ending than most communist countries. Or ENRON. Or United...
