Same. Though, I started realizing as soon as I started commuting home for school vacations. There's a settling feeling deep in my chest when we come over the crest of the grade and I see the city laid out - the panorama is hard-wired in as Home.

Maybe I'm still too young to appreciate it. It's neat from a geological perspective, though. The first time I saw it from a plane it looked like soft churned chocolate ice-cream. It still kind of does.
