I filled most of my weekend with sleeping. I've been having horrible headaches which no low-risk pain reliever can help. So I sleep because at least then I'm not in pain. But my dreams have been so odd and vivid these past few days. I hear pregnancy dreams are like that, but these dreams have had nothing to do with my pregnancy. For example, Friday night I dreamed that a member of Team Aqua (from Pokemon Emerald) was part of a babysitting scam, but his Onyx was scaring the children and they refused to go with him anymore. He says, "Onyx is always staring at the children. He even stares when he's asleep." and I can see Onyx, only he has legs, and the bottom of his round food is a gigantic staring eyeball. And as the dream progresses it becomes less real and more cartoonish like the game.

Then I had a dream that it was the last day of my senior year of high school and I'm packing up my clarinet (and Justin's saxophone) and I'm saying to Mr. Dole, "You'll never see me again!" But I lose track of the sax just as graduates from 10 years before then (I graduated 9 years ago) come in and play a rockin' version of "South Carolina" with all brass and drums and Mr. Dole sings the line, "Garcon, where's my drink?". Then they leave just as quickly as they entered. Oh, and all of this took place in LMS's band room, not at the high school.

Last night I dreamed that I was in 28 Days Later only it wasn't a movie and Cillian Murphy was nowhere to be found (horrifying). I find a large group of girls and young women and hide them in a large multi-story warehouse to wait until the infected have died out. Everytime the dream got too intense I would wake up. I could feel Sabby sleeping down by my feet. I'd calm down and go back to sleep and the dream would start up again exactly where it left off. This never happens to me.

I woke up utterly exhausted this morning. I got up and took a shower. When I got out of the shower I tried to comb my hair, but my arms were too tired to hold them up. So I had to go sit down and catch my breath. I thought about calling off, but Cathy's last day was Friday and I wanted to enjoy her not being here. People keep saying, "Pregnancy is so fun!" and I've just about had it. Next time I might snap and yell back at them, "Apparently you never experienced fun before you got pregnant, but I did and this is nothing like it."

I'm wondering if there's a weight shift, change in center of gravity, all that, which may be affecting your spine, which can hit the neck and shoulder muscles. Especially if you've readically changed what sort of regular motions you make (not sitting hunched forward at work computer as for the last 4 years, for instance) then that might have an impact on tension in your shoulders, which causes headaches. If your shoulders are not tense or feeling weird, if you never get back pains or shoulder knots or any of that, then I'd take it to the doctor in your list of questions next time you go. If they are tense, then taking couples class in massage (if you haven't already) would be a very good idea. Many guys do not give good shoulder massage, they don't have a clue that pinching down and clamping onto your neck muscles as if their hands are woodworking c-clamps only sets up more knots for people with lower levels of musculature than them, and it certainly doesn't help you relax. Smoothing the skin out with fingertips, moving up the spine from the hip-level and feathering outward on either side from the spine toward the points of the shoulders takes a great deal more concentration and effort and works much better.
Good massage might help with strain in the lower back later on, too.

I totally agree with massage and stretching. I also saw a chiropractor with my second pregnancy and that really helped me out.
I had a problem with the heart racing, pounding hard, beating inconsistantly and fluttering afterward with and without being pregnant. It is not fun and a little scary. I just dealt with it and sat right back down when I had an episode. I think we all have the heart murmer (isn't that what that is?) Anyway, everything you've described sounds like pregnancy. Man, I was really hot all the time!!! My blood pressure lowered each time I was pregnant though. It isn't all fun but the first time around I was flabergasted that I was going to have a little girl. That in itself was enough to keep me positive. Now on the other hand, the second time around I wasn't so positive because I had been pregnant before and was ready skip the pregnancy and go straight to holding my little boy. Hang in there! It will all be worth it when they turn four....right?

Amanda
