My weight has been bothering me. It's been bothering me more than I like to admit. When I first moved to Ohio I joined the Women's 17 Minute Workout with a friend of mine. It worked like a dream. I was very fit and very thin. I looked great and felt fantastic. I stopped going a while back and my weight ballooned. I always knew I'd end up looking like my mom, so I just accepted it and sat back and let it happen. I don't overeat and I don't buy snackfoods, but here I am 70 pounds overweight. I've decided it's time to do something serious about it. My apartment building has closed down the gyms that are supposed to be one of the amenities of living there, so it's time I started looking into other gyms in the area. The Women's 17 Minute Workout closed down (and good riddance! I paid off my membership and they continued deducting fees from my checking account). So as I was thinking about this this weekend, I realized that this is the wrong time of year to make this decision. Everyone has made New Year's resolutions to lose weight. I didn't make a resolution. Things just kind of came to a head. I think I'm going to stop by the gym that's on my way home and see what it's all about. *clap clap*

Actually, now is the perfect time, because they probably have some good discounts on membership for all the resolutioners! Good luck, I hope you succeed!

one of the most frustrating things about my weight managment has been how much my weight fluctuates throughout the week.. cuz sometimes it would seem i lost 15 lbs in 3 days or gained 5 in 1.... so about a month ago, i started recording my weight right b4 getting in the shower.. I made three columns -- 1st column is the 1st-10th of the month, 2nd column is 11th-20, and 3rd is the rest of the month... the idea was to a) be able to take an average reading (more acurate) reading of my weight b) easily be able to compare my weight from 10 days prior (as opposed to what I could remember about the past few days), and c) make sure that my weight the same or less than 10 days prior... all I have been doing (Im also more or less 40lbs overweight) is change my diet for the better, as I have recently stopped smoking.. (was essentially a pack every 1.5 days) I'm not looking to stress myself out and fall off any wagons.. anyhoo.. Apparently, I have been very slowly losing weight.. and as long as the trend continues.. I'm not planning on trying to get there any faster than I have to.. I guess the only idea I'm suggesting is that you should record your weight every day in some way.. helped me
