When Nine regenerated into Ten, he picked up some of Rose's speech patterns because she was the one standing there when he regenerated. I kind of consider TenII's, um, generation(?) as something similar. His human DNA came from her, but the mannerisms he picked up from her were from the generation process in much the same way Ten's mannerisms came from Rose even though there was no DNA exchange. The DNA creates the human body, but his experiences create his personality.
That's how I see it, anyway. :)
I read a cool fic a while back where Rose brings the TARDIS from Donna's pocket universe back with her to Pete's World and the Doctor uses the baby coral to bring it back to life. I loved that idea.
