Happy Valentine's Day

Thank you to everyone who sent me glass hearts and to blood who gave me this snazzy new userhead (viewable on LJ). I hope you all had very nice days and that many people expressed their respect and admiration of you. I think you are all amazing and I am glad to know you.

Justin and I celebrated Valentine's Day on Sunday. I made our traditional Valentine's Day supper (steaks, baked potatoes, salad, and pots de creme) and Justin gave me chocolates (side note: I finally told him I prefer Godiva to his favorite Whitman's Sampler by a very wide margin. I've been trying to figure out how to break that to him for years). He also picked up a fig, almond, and montchevre cheese ball and some sparkling grape juice, but we haven't gotten to that yet.

At lunch today, the men seated at the table behind us (my friend Renee and me) broke out into "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" in three-part harmony. They were serenading one of the restaurant's employees. The trio sounded wonderful and the woman they were singing to looked genuinely moved.

I also wore pink today, but that was totally a coincidence.
