I can't help but feel that ElJay has run out of Writer's Block questions if this is what they've chosen for today.
The fact is, I own a lot of shoes. A lot. I'm no Imelda Marcos, but I have a fairly impressive collection. I've got sneakers, running shoes, skateboarding shoes, ballet flats, knee-high boots, ankle-high boots, practical pumps, not-so-practical pumps, and strappy heels.
But my favorite shoes are my green and pink Vans. I bought them on Clearance in Murfreesboro, TN and wore them nearly every day for over a year. Now they look more like brown and off-white Vans. They make me feel like I'm walking barefoot. Unfortunately, if I wear them much longer it will be as good as walking barefoot since I've nearly worn out the rubber soles. I tried buying another pair, but Vans no longer makes the style.
I'm in the market for a new pair of boots, but I've yet to find a style I like. I don't want a high heel, but I do want a slightly pointy toe. I don't want a slouchy style, but I do want something about ankle-height. I want something with flair, but without a lot of metal doodads. I want leather, not fabric. I want something I can wear with socks, not nylons. I want something that will look good with both jeans and slacks. I want them to be sleek, not clunky.
I need to go look at zappos.
Edited to add: I found a pair I want. Now all I need to do is justify the $500 price tag.
