I've been noticing interesting things during my evening walks. It finally occurred to me to take pictures as I go. So here's a couple of things I saw last night.

I don't actually expect anyone to remember what the first house Justin and I considered buying looked like. But here's what it looks like now.

In addition to the overgrown yard, they've let the siding literally fall off the side of the house. For a while it was held on by a cable that was stapled to the house, but now a huge portion of the siding is gone and the rest of it is bubbled out and hanging on.

Worse, here's a house two lots up from the one above.

My treo doesn't take pictures clear enough to read the graffiti. Here's what it says:
"This property belongs to the bank."
"Do not buy."
"Meth house."

I think I've mentioned that the North Hill neighborhood has the worst reputation in Akron, but my immediate area is actually fairly nice. These two houses just jumped out at me as I was walking. I also want to get a picture of the house that has plastic flowers in the flowerbeds. Very colorful and kind of cute and tacky at the same time. Love it!
