Sep. 6th, 2005 09:22 amI found out on Friday that my baby is in the 85th percentile in size. I'm looking at delivering a 9-10 pound baby in October. Because he's so large I have to go in for another ultrasound at 38 weeks to see if we need to induce labor. We'll also find out at that time if it's safe to deliver or if I should have a c-section. It probably wouldn't be an issue if this wasn't my first child.
Justin and I moved stuff over to the house every day over the long weekend. On Sunday Justin said something about painting the living room. So I offered to mow the lawn while he and his dad painted. I guess Neighbor Bill heard me and while we were away loading up our cars with more stuff he mowed our lawn for us. I also met my neighbor on the other side of my house. He seems nice. Not that it matters because he's moving out next week (which is too bad because his name is Reno which makes him Neighbor Reno haha!). He said he has an offer on his house from a nice single young woman with two dogs. Justin's mother came over yesterday to help Justin clean up the flower beds. They look much, much better. Like someone actually lives there. :) Neighbor Bill and his wife (I'm not clear on her name, I've heard Ann, Anna, and Ann-Marie) are expecting a baby and the people in the house behind Neighbor Reno are also expecting. It sounds as if there will be babies everywhere!
I decided it was time to make candy this weekend. So I made some nut and pretzel clusters, some caramel turtles, and some apple turnovers. I messed up the turnover recipe by omiting the salt and apple sauce, but they still turned out really good. So I'm going to get the ingredients for them again tonight and try it again. I'm going to make apple and cherry then freeze them for later. People are coming over to help us move on the 17th and since I'm no help moving stuff, I thought I'd make a nice dinner. I'm thinking brats, baked beans (from scratch), gazpacho pasta salad, chips, and turnovers. That's good stand-around-and-eat food.
Oh, and the baby shower is on Saturday! I hope Sony got those invitations out on time. :/
