It doesn't hurt as much as last year. That's good. I think I'll consider it healing and not nervousness about my yearly review that comes up in two hours.

Yearly review

My review went well. He had nothing bad to say. My numbers weren't as high as last year, but since there was no negative feedback I decided not to ask why. He said my raise won't be as generous this year, but that's OK since we didn't do as well as last year. All in all it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Huge relief.

Wow...

that "not-as-generous" raise my boss promised me was three times what I expected I would get. He said he would have given me more, but last year when he gave me a 10% pay raise he had to argue with our CEO for two hours before he could put it through.

Did I mention I love my job?
