Yep. 8th place. But I also got a juror's pick. So that's another gold star to my name. I'm working on another one today, but the shadows aren't turning out very well. It's going to need a lot of tweaking, but I'm happy with the concept and the source picture.

I got to talk to Marilee this weekend. It's been so long! It was very nice to hear her voice and catch up on what she's been doing since we talked last. And really, it didn't seem as though any time had passed at all. At least, not to me. She was the same old Marilee that I've known and loved for almost 10 years now.

I hope that we can all get together and have a reunion of sorts. A camping trip somewhere in the Pacific Northwest in the next year or two. Bring extra batteries for the stereo because a camping trip just isn't a camping trip without the Pet Shop Boys blaring nearby.

I think Sabby has another bladder infection. He missed the litter box the other night and when I went into the bathroom for my nightly routine, there were hundreds of carpenter ants surrounding the puddle. Poor kitty. This means another two weeks of antibiotics. And possibly a nasty note to the landlord about the ants. I wonder if I should bother (about the ants, that is). We're only there for another month, but I really want some sort of revenge. And if that means making them miserable for my remaining time there, that's what I'll do. They did come by and fix the kitchen drawer and re-caulk the tub, but they still haven't replaced the padding that they ripped out after the flood. And I was promised a steam-clean which still hasn't been done.

I think they rented out the empty apartment across from me. Those bastards. That entire basement needs to be remediated. And I mean carpeting, dry-wall and any supporting structure that happened to get wet needs to be torn out and replaced. I know they didn't do it and those poor people's health is at stake. I think after I move I'll send a letter to the health department along with some of the pictures I took of the mold growth in the bedroom.

I dragged Justin to Sofa Express yesterday. We found a sofa and chair we really liked. It was leather and very cushy. Only $650. I wanted it, but decided that it was probably best if I waited until after the wedding.

Which reminds me.

Congratulations Lisa! I hope you and your husband are very happy together!!! :)
