I read your entry, and simply had to comment. Clinique makeup is probably some of the worst I've ever used; in many cases I would *prefer* drug store items to Clinique. I think people buy it because of the name. Lancome is on the top of my list, but I'll try just about anything once. I'm all about product satisfaction, and don't care about brand names, necessarily. Some things I buy at the drug store (L'Oreal Bare Naturale foundation is.. astonishing), and some I buy at major retailers (Lancome Color Design lipstick is awesome). I've never tried the prescriptives magic powder, but because I use a mineral powder foundation, I don't know that it could get any better. What do you like about it?
